TEACHING
I teach to create value in my student's lives. There can be no simple transfer of knowledge without simultaneously developing the wisdom to use that knowledge.
I am honored to have received Salem State University’s prestigious Distinguished Teaching Award in 2016. I enjoy self-reflecting on my teaching style and winning this award was not a destination but part of the journey. One thing that excites me about teaching is that I know there is no “end” but rather it is a cyclical process of inquiry.
